ECE- Before and After School Programs (BASP) Worker
Multiple Sites
The Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board is seeking applications for the position of Before and After School Programs (BASP) Worker. Reporting to the BASP Manager, this position will support children in the Before and After School Program at multiple different sites.
There will be two different shifts in the BASP. The hours for these assignments would be:
- 7 am to morning bell time
- after school bell time to 6 pm
Applicants that have successfully completed the Early Childhood Educator Diploma Program are preferred, in addition to being registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators. Diploma programs in other Community Services related fields (i.e., DSW, CYC, SSW, NCFS, EA, R&LS) will also be considered. General knowledge of standard practices and procedures associated with working with JK/SK aged students are essential. Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills are required.
Applicants for the BASP Worker positions are required to submit a completed Application Form for , cover letter, résumé, and a copy of diploma(s) no later than 3:30 pm on January 1st, 2026,
Applicants for the BASP Worker position will be required to provide a Vulnerable Sector Screening document satisfactory to the Board. Please do not submit your Criminal Record Check with your application. Successful applicants will also be required to provide proof of membership with the College of Early Childhood Educators (if applicable), as well as complete necessary training including Standard First Aid, CPR and Safe Food Handling.
