Midland Transport is currently seeking an OS&D Administrator based at Saint John Terminal, NB. Reporting to the Terminal Manager, the OS&D Administrator is responsible for working with team members, Customers, Agents, and Claims Investigation team on behalf of the organization to resolve all exceptions. This individual will be required to conduct investigations for all items that fall under OS&D. This role requires a high level of attention to detail.

Enter delivery exceptions from previous day into AS400 and submit Auto Notifications to the shipper
-
Request disposition instructions for all delivery exceptions. Follow up with shippers/billing parties every second day until disposition instructions are received
-
Follow shipper instructions to dispose/donate/salvage/return freight as requested
-
Tag Refusals and follow up with consignee if goods are not returned
-
Assist Customer Service, Sales team, Shippers and Consignees with OS&D related questions/issues
-
Complete all re-route requests sent by shippers. Retag and create new bill of landings to ensure freight is delivered to the requested location
-
Review Undelivered Freight report emailed by Check-in Clerk from the previous night. Ensure any OS&D related issues are worked on in a timely manner
-
Report on all Shippers load and Count exceptions to shippers
-
Review inbound manifest exceptions from previous day. Provide feedback to Dock Manager and other terminals to review loading issues
-
Complete daily dock checks to audit freight left on the dock. Ensure all freight has proper paperwork. Reprint freight forms, redirect, clear shortages and request bill of ladings as required
-
Send terminal wide dock checks to ensure missing shipments are located in a timely manner. Update DOS code in the pro status once dock check is sent
-
Investigate Bills No Goods shipments. Update BNG status code on all BNG shipments received using the proper prompt code. Email origin/destination terminals to locate missing freight

Answer OS&D calls from internal and external clients

Other office administrative assignments as required

Receive salvage freight into inventory daily. Close pro's, advise Claims Manager of salvage received. Work with the dock team to organize the loading and unloading of salvage freight into storage trailers. Stage salvage freight for bi-weekly salvage sale

2-5 Years of experience is an asset, but not required

You have a minimum High School diploma
-
Previous experience in warehouse clerical, OS&D and administrative role would be an asset
-
Strong communication in English and customer service skills
-
Strong Computer skills including MS Office Suite and good typing skills
-
Strong Communication, organizational, numerical and attention to detail skills
-
Ability to work under pressure

Capability of meeting tight deadlines
