Hairdressing Teacher
qathet School District invites applications from qualified teachers for a (0.40 FTE) Hairdressing Teacher position starting September 1, 2026.
The District serves the educational needs of approximately 3000 students through elementary and secondary (Gr. 8-12) schools and other educational programs and employs approximately 400 staff.
Located on the Sunshine Coast, combining the natural beauty, amazing outdoor recreation opportunities associated with the Powell River lifestyle, and an exciting and fulfilling work environment, it is ideal for those pursuing a healthy balance both professionally and personally.
Qualifications
Possesses, or eligible for, B.C. professional teaching certificate Red Seal qualification for Hairdressing Five (5) years of Hairdressing industry experience Have current knowledge of the province's hairdressing curriculum Current First Aid Certification
Salary
The annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $65,155 to $116,190 at 1.0 FTE, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
