About the role
A career as a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Developer within the IT Delivery team for Payments, Cards, Data, and Wallets at National Bank means acting as a specialist in software development and resilient critical asset management. You will actively contribute to realizing our DevOps vision by integrating SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) best practices.
You will be part of a cross-functional squad whose goal is to evolve our software development practices across various delivery teams and throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). We have embraced the DevSecOps approach and aim to accelerate our transformation in the coming years.
Your Role:
- Contribute to the development of critical solutions by applying “everything-as-code” principles.
- Develop and enhance test automation practices at all required levels depending on the context, to ensure built-in quality of deliverables.
- Improve our monitoring-alerting-tracing mechanisms to proactively detect and respond to instabilities.
- Apply best practices in High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) for all production deployments.
- Innovate and integrate DevOps tools into delivery pipelines while meeting security and operability requirements.
Your Team: Our IT function brings together 2,300 professionals with a collaborative, proactive and agile mindset. Day to day, we actively work to seize opportunities, stay on the cutting edge of technology, and continuously improve processes.
Within the IT Delivery sector, you’ll be part of a large team reporting to a Senior Director. We aim to offer maximum flexibility to support your quality of life, including a hybrid work environment and adaptable schedules.

Prerequisites:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of software engineering concepts and object-oriented development. Experience with object-oriented languages.
- Experience implementing concepts of a modern software ecosystem: domain-driven architecture, microservices, APIs, streaming, cloud technologies, real-time data flows, API/microservice orchestration.
Languages: English, French
