Position: Shipper/Receiver
Position Type: Full time, Permanent
Location: Abbotsford, BC.
Work schedule: Tuesday to Saturday (8:30am - 5:00pm)
Rate: $24.40 / hr.
Position Overview
Velocity Truck Centre Canada, formally known as First Truck Centre, has an exciting opening for a Shipper / Receiver- Driver at our Abbotsford, BC branch. This role is responsible to maintain a clean and well-manicured warehouse and document inventory that both comes in and out of the branch. Assisting with delivering and picking up supplies will also be required.

Primary Job Functions
- Shipping, receiving, documentation, and inventory of products incoming and outgoing from the warehouse.
- Maintains the warehouse in a clean and orderly condition.
- Participating in inventory counts.
- Attend all training sessions to update technical knowledge.
- Drive company vehicle to receive and deliver parts when required.
- Excellent knowledge of the local area and roadways is an asset.
- Proven record of following safety procedures, provincial/federal legislation, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in shipping / receiving.
- Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, detailed environment.
- Knowledge of truck and trailer or automotive parts is an asset.
- Excellent Computer skills to maintain records, prepare orders, post receipts, and other computer work that may be required.
- Ability to work in a physical capacity, including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift.
- Hold and maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean drivers abstract.
- Excellent communications skills both verbally and written.
- Forklift experience is an asset (training will be provided).
