Job Summary And Requirements This is a until –filled competition. This posting This posting is for 3 vacancies: one full-time 2-year term position, one part-time term position ending October 16, 2026, working 67.5 hours bi-weekly and one full-time term position ending December 14, 2026, working 75 hours bi-weekly. It will establish a 12-month eligibility list which may be used to fill anticipatory permanent, term, AOC and casual vacancies.

Your role The Yukon Home Care Program provides client-focused health services in the home, improving quality of life and supporting Yukoners to live independently. Home Care offers a range of services tailored to meet individual needs, including support for acute care, chronic and palliative conditions. These services are determined through standardized assessments to assist in creating individualized plans of care; and are supported by an interdisciplinary team, consisting of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Licensed Practical Nurses, Social Workers and Home Support Workers.
As an integral team member, the Registered Nurse service delivery includes client specific care coordination , liaising with the medical community direct nursing care , such as ; education, treatment related to medical conditions (i.e. wound care, ostomy care etc.), collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, development of care plans, funding requests, and other nursing duties.

- Eligible for Registered Nurse registration with a Canadian registered nursing regulatory authority
- Recent and relevant clinical nursing experience within the Registered Nurse scope of practice, including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
- Home Care and/or Community Care nursing experience would be considered an asset

Desired Knowledge, Skills And Suitability If selected for an interview, candidates should have, and may be assessed on, the following:
- Ability to provide professional care for residents by promoting their physical, emotional and spiritual well-being
- Ability to provide leadership, coaching and training to members of the team
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Experience working in a community care setting
- Excellent critical thinking, relationship building and conflict management skills
- Ability to operate across multiple levels of care and within a transdisciplinary environment
- Strong understanding of working with various cultural backgrounds

Conditions of employment You must meet the following conditions before being hired, or within the time frame noted.
- TB screening
- Vulnerable Sector RCMP security clearance
- CPR Level C with AED (complete within last 30 months)
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (complete within last 30 months)
- WHMIS 2015
- Valid class 5 Driver's License without driving restrictions
- Current registration with the Yukon Registered Nurses Association
Job Requirements This job requires you to perform, and/or be exposed to, the following:
- Shift work (days, evenings, weekends, including stat holidays)
- Exposure to plants and/or flowers, animals, latex products, second-hand smoke from residents/clients
- Heavy lifting 50 lbs and over, bending.
- Travel during inclement weather conditions may be required
