️ What You’ll Do
As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll contribute to the design, development, and lifecycle support of UVS platforms and payloads. You’ll collaborate across disciplines to ensure our systems meet performance, safety, and environmental standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing mechanical assemblies and components for UVS platforms and payloads
Supporting system requirements, specifications, and cost estimates
Leading small to medium-sized design projects and presenting technical findings
Developing and reviewing engineering documentation and methodologies
Assisting with testing, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support
Mentoring junior engineers and supporting cross-functional collaboration
What You Bring
Eligible for or registered with APEGA
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
4–10 years of experience in a custom design or manufacturing environment
Proficient with MS Office and document management software
Bonus if you have:
Proficiency in 3D modelling, FEA, and CFD tools (e.g., Autodesk Inventor, STAR-CCM+, Nastran, MATLAB)
Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
Experience with uncrewed systems, marine design, or control systems
Security & Safety Requirements
Must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident
Eligible for Canadian Level 2 Security Clearance, including background and criminal record checks
Comfortable working in safety-sensitive environments (factory floor, field testing, deployments)
Able to lift up to 15 kg
