6:00 AM PM - 4:30 PM
Requirements
Responsibilities
- Programs and sets up CNC milling, lathe, or other machinery according to blueprint specifications.
- Reads and interprets technical blueprints and design models and inputs the product design into the computer modeling software.
- Adjusts machine settings to the desired product specifications
- Troubleshoots and maintains machines
- Tests accuracy of settings and programs
- Designs and manufactures tooling required for production
- Orders components necessary to build tooling
- Assist in the training and development of machine shop personnel
- Further, this position will collaborate with other departments on efforts such as R&D projects, launching new product, innovation and standardization of best practices and carrying out activities in the best interest of the organization.
- Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
- Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Red Seal Journeyman Machinist or Equivalent
- Formal Training in CNC Programming or Equivalent
- Minimum: Five years of production experience as a machinist in a manufacturing setting
- Experience with Lean Tools and Techniques such as 5S, Setup Reduction, One Piece Flow
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
