Sr Manager - Cloud Infrastructure and AI Operations

Job Description:
We are looking for a hands-on leader to drive the strategy, development, and operations of cloud-based infrastructure and AI-driven technologies. This role will ensure the organization’s digital infrastructure is secure, scalable, and aligned with business goals, supporting the delivery of digital products and services at scale.
The Senior Manager will lead a team of engineers and administrators, while also rolling up their sleeves on Azure engineering when needed. This is a high-visibility leadership role requiring both technical depth and people leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of Microsoft Azure infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and resiliency.
- Implement AIOps practices, automation, observability, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
- Manage enterprise applications such as M365, including availability, upgrades, and compliance.
- Guide and mentor team members, fostering technical excellence and career growth.
- Collaborate with product, data, and cybersecurity leaders to align infrastructure with strategic objectives.
- Provide technical direction during major incidents and ensure documented root cause analysis.
- Oversee vendor relationships, budgets, and ongoing cloud cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian data privacy regulations, PCI, PHIPA, and other frameworks.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in infrastructure/operations roles, including 5+ years in leadership positions.
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Azure (architecture, engineering, governance).
- Strong background in Infrastructure-as-Code, DevOps, automation, and observability.
- Exposure to AI/ML and interest in leading AIOps adoption.
- Proven ability to balance hands-on technical execution with strategic leadership.
- Strong communication skills to bridge technical and business audiences.
- Azure certifications (AZ-305, AZ-400) are assets.
