This part-time (0.85 FTE) temporary position includes teaching Grade Eight English Language Arts, Grade Seven Social Studies and Options. The position will begin when a suitable candidate is found and end on June 26, 2026.
We are seeking a teacher who:
- builds strong rapport with students and creates a safe and caring learning environment;
- the ability to work collaboratively as part of an innovative and energetic instructional team
- creates an engaging learning environment for students through strong planning practices and delivery of effective pedagogy
- the ability to form positive working relationships with staff, students and parents
- strong organizational and classroom management skills
- provides an engaging environment for students from a variety of backgrounds including at risk and educationally disengaged students;
- has a passion for working with an ethnically diverse group of students, including First Nations Metis and Inuit students;
- is knowledgeable of and experienced with current assessment practices;
- has experience teaching the most recent Alberta High School Curriculum.
The successful candidate possesses or is eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
