Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safe, optimal and cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with design specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities will include the design of tooling to support manufacturing processes, manufacturing layout drawings, and developing manufacturing processes for new products.

The compensation for this role will be commensurate based on education and/or experience.

RESPONSIBILITES

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Sets individual initiatives for performance and deadlines supporting Badger’s manufacturing goals.
  • Ensures compliance to Badgers safety and high service standards.
  • Researches designs and developments of safe manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods, welding processes and production equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

What You'll Need For Success:

  • Education in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering Degree from an accredited University or Institute.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA, EIT, or eligible for registration.
  • CAD experience, including assemblies, weldments, FEA (finite element analysis), drawings, layouts and standardized drafting practices (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Experience with existing manufacturing technologies including CNC equipment, welding, joining, metalworking, manual assembly, coatings, robotics, and injection molding.
  • Develops designs, drawings, and shop work instructions. The role requires mobility within work environments, use of office equipment, lifting up to 20 pounds, clear vision and hearing, effective communication skills, and occasional travel for meetings and training sessions.
