About the role
Your day to day will be around…
Rebrand Execution & Design Leadership:
- Implement the approved Natures Path rebrand across cereal, granola, hot oatmeal, waffles, and toaster pastries, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and brand guidelines.
- Translate hero packaging designs and guardrails provided by external agencies into practical, scalable solutions for all product categories and secondary packaging
- Act as a pioneer and advocate for the new design system, driving its adoption and integration across the entire NPO portfolio.
Creative Development & Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Art Director to design new packaging concepts that reflect the updated brand identity and resonate with consumers.
- Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions and provide innovative design solutions for future brand extensions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Brand, Marketing, Ecommerce, Sales, R&D) to ensure design consistency and strategic alignment.
Production Accuracy & Technical Excellence:
- Prepare final artwork files for print and digital, ensuring technical precision (crop marks, dielines, bleeds, color proofing).
- Support the team with artwork regulatory revisions when required, maintain version control, and uphold quality standards throughout the design process.
- Liaise with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to guarantee timely and accurate execution of design projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years production design experience within an agency/studio/in-house team with CPG experience (preferably) and a portfolio that shows your packaging work.
- A degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design or Fine Arts preferred.
- High level of proficiency with the following: Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel), MacOs.
- Comprehensive typographic and layout skills, specialized knowledge of methods and techniques of graphic design, color theory and layout, and high-level execution.
Notes:
- This Designer role is a one-year contract based out of our HQ in Richmond, BC.
- We are in the office Monday/Tuesday/Thursday and WFH Wednesday and Friday.
- Based on experience, this opportunity will pay a base salary between $75,000 - $95,000.
