About The Role
We are looking for an experiencedSenior Analystto provide effective support to assigned clients in our National Accounts Team (NAT) Employee Benefits Consulting Practice. This role involves full life cycle review and analysis of employee benefit plans. This is a fast-paced role and involves strong teamwork, deep technical skills and customer service excellence. The National Accounts Team works with a variety of organizations across Canada.
What You’ll Do
- Provide strong analytical and technical support on mid to large clients
- Prepare client facing reports such as renewals, actuarial valuations, financial statements, marketing, plan design and in accordance with applicable reporting schedules and reporting templates
- Conduct marketing exercises; includes preparing and submitting specifications to insurance carriers, answering questions, reviewing, and providing technical analysis and recommendations on marketing responses, and preparing marketing reports
- Peer reviewing and providing feedback on work for team members
- Prepare experience reports including projections for renewals
- Maintain and update client files
- Provide excellent customer service to our clients via telephone or email to assess and fulfil their employee benefits requirements
- Coordinate with insurance carriers as required
- Conduct industry research on issues and trends affecting client benefits plans
- Assist with special projects, as required
- Attend and participate in client meetings on occasion
What You’ll Need for Success
- Post-Secondary Education and/or related courses in group benefits (CEBS) or actuarial studies
- Minimum 3 years experience in the group insurance industry, with prior consulting and/or insurance background preferred
- LLQP an asset
- Solid knowledge of Canadian benefits industry including group benefits financial underwriting requirements for all types of employee benefits plans
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong time management, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
- Strong team player and ability to work independently
- Ability to exercise initiative and follow up skills

Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
