Travel: This position requires travel as needed to our offices in Ontario (St. Catharines or Cornwall) or Quebec (Brossard or St. Lambert)

Your role

As a Labor Relations Advisor, you will act as a subject-matter expert in the interpretation of policies, collective agreements, legislation, and federal programs. You will ensure that the Corporation’s legal and organizational obligations are applied consistently and fairly.

Your responsibilities

  • Analyze, develop, and recommend labor relations plans, policies, and programs, ensuring compliance with organizational directives and legal requirements;

  • Implement mechanisms to ensure consistency in HR practices related to labor relations;

  • Lead and coordinate strategic projects related to labor relations and regulatory compliance, from the design phase through implementation;

  • Prepare reports, recommendations, and presentations for internal committees;

  • Manage and resolve complaints and grievances, including the preparation of arbitration files;

  • Actively participate in collective bargaining, including conducting research, formulating proposals, and providing logistical or administrative support to the chief negotiator.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Labor Relations;

  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in program design, development, and implementation, or in process improvement related to labor relations;

  • Member in good standing of a professional human resources association in Quebec or Ontario (CRHA/CRIA or CHRP);

  • Proficient in French, both spoken and written, and fluent in English, spoken. This requirement reflects the nature of the position, which involves communication with teams based in Quebec and Ontario;

  • Strong experience in strategic analysis, and change management;

  • Good knowledge of technological tools and HR systems;

  • Frequent travel expected, depending on project needs and locations;
