Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, Data Science
The Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time teaching stream position in Data Science. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, and will begin on July 1, 2024, or shortly thereafter.
Responsibilities
- Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Data Science.
- Developing and delivering innovative course materials.
- Engaging in curriculum development and program design.
- Contributing to the academic community through service and outreach.
Qualifications
Required
- A PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
- Strong communication skills.
- A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in teaching and learning.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Data Science or related subjects.
- A record of innovative teaching practices.
- Experience with online and hybrid teaching methods.
