Job Description The main objective of the position is to plan, execute, monitor, and remediate software installation on workstations via existing packages. Manage requests for the creation, testing, and deployment of new packages, execute the change management process related to package version management. Support the remediation of security vulnerabilities on workstations through software deployment. Finally, provide Level 3 support for end users and workstations, assisting other IT teams, including the service center, when they are unable to resolve issues encountered on workstations.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute the deployment of critical applications to thousands of computers in an efficient manner while assessing and minimizing the risk of operational incidents.
- Assess variables and situations arising with other IT teams that may impact application deployment plans and proactively recommend actions.
- Follow strict change management and application lifecycle deployment processes;
- Assist application owners and users with their application requests by explaining the release management process and providing recommendations on best practices in accordance with various policies and guidelines in place.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent;
- 5 to 7 years of experience in expert technical support for Microsoft Windows client management (Windows 10/11);
- 5 to 7 years of knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) or SCCM for package distribution and large-scale client management (+10,000 clients);
- Expertise in PowerShell and shell scripts to understand, adapt, and deploy on workstations;
- Knowledge of ITIL methodology, including incident, problem, and change management;
- Knowledge of Active Directory related to user, group, and computer object management;
- Knowledge of application lifecycle processes is desirable;
- Availability to work and perform tasks outside of business hours (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.);
Excellent communication skills in French and English. English is required, as the role involves communicating with clients located outside of Quebec. Only candidates legally authorized to work for any employer in Canada will be considered. Why Join Onepoint?
