Role Description The Technical Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Ontario, Canada, responsible for generating and growing sales of The Bucket Shop’s products and solutions to mining and earth-moving clients. This role involves meeting with customers, assessing equipment and application needs, and recommending appropriate wear solutions, buckets, and related products to improve productivity and reduce operating costs. The Technical Sales Representative will prepare proposals and quotations, deliver product presentations and demonstrations, and provide technical guidance on product specifications and performance. Daily activities include managing a sales pipeline, following up on inquiries, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and identifying new business opportunities. The role also involves collaborating with engineering and production teams, providing product training to customers, and ensuring a high level of customer service and communication throughout the sales cycle.
Qualifications
Strong Technical Sales and Sales skills, with the ability to understand equipment applications and translate technical features into client value. Customer Service and Communication abilities to build relationships, handle inquiries, and provide clear, professional support to diverse stakeholders. Experience delivering Training or product demonstrations to clients or internal teams, including explaining technical concepts in accessible terms. Knowledge of mining, heavy equipment, or industrial products, with the ability to read and interpret technical documentation and specifications. Proven experience in a business-to-business sales environment, preferably in mining, construction, or related sectors. Comfort working on-site at customer locations and in shop environments, with a focus on safety and collaboration. Strong organizational and time-management skills, including CRM use, territory management, and follow-up discipline. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Ontario and surrounding regions as required. Post-secondary education in business, engineering, or a related field is an asset, but equivalent industry experience will be considered.
