Groupe Nordik is the leading creator of wellness spa villages, including the largest Spa in North America (Chelsea, QC) as well as largest event Sauna (Whitby, ON).

What you will do:

Groupe Nordik is seeking an accomplished Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of strategic projects while simultaneously building and maturing our Project Management Office (PMO). The incumbent will oversee a diverse portfolio spanning spa development and facility expansion projects, guest experience enhancement initiatives, and internal organizational projects. This dual-focus role is ideal for a practitioner who thrives both in the day-to-day management of complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives and in the creation of scalable frameworks, methodologies, and governance structures that enable a high-performing delivery organization.

Responsibilities:

Project Delivery & Management:

  • Lead end-to-end management of concurrent projects across the full project lifecycle — initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure — spanning spa development, guest experience, and organizational initiatives.
  • Define project scope,objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders, sponsors, and operational teams.
  • Develop andmaintaincomprehensive project plans, schedules, risk registers, and status reports, ensuring transparency at all levels of the organization.
  • Coordinate with designers, architects, contractors, vendors, and operational teams on facility and spa development projects, ensuring alignment between construction milestones and business readiness.
  • Partner with guest experience, product, operations, and digital teams to translate strategic vision into well-structured, deliverable project plans.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate whenappropriate.
  • Drive project governance through structured change control, decision-making frameworks, and stage-gate reviews.
  • Monitor project budgets, track actuals against forecasts, and provideaccuratefinancial reporting to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication with project teams, sponsors, and stakeholders — tailoring messages for both operational and executive audiences.
  • Conduct lessons-learned reviews and embed findings into future project approaches.

PMO Development & Continuous Improvement:

  • Assess the current state of project management maturity and define a roadmap to evolve PMO capabilities.
  • Design, document, and implement standardized project management methodologies, processes, and templates aligned to business needs.
  • Establish andmaintaina PMO governance framework, including portfolio oversight, reporting cadences, and escalation pathways.
  • Define and track key PMO metrics (e.g., on-time delivery rate, budget variance, resourceutilization) and present insightstoleadership.
  • Build and curate a central knowledge repository — playbooks, templates, best-practice guides — accessible to all project practitioners.
  • Develop resource capacity planning tools and processes tooptimizeallocation across the project portfolio.
  • Champion the adoption of project management tools and platforms (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Monday.com, Smartsheet) and drive consistent usage.
  • Partner with HR and leadership to build PM capability across the organization through coaching, training, andcommunitypractice initiatives.
  • Stay current with industry trends, frameworks and recommend improvements to PMO practices.

To be successful in this position you will need:

  • 5+ years of project management experience, including delivery of complex, cross-functional projects. Experience contributing to or building PMO functions is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or a related field. Relevant postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
  • PMP (PMI), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification required. Agile/Scrum certification is an asset.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, ClickUp, Monday.com). Strong command of MS Office / Microsoft 365 suite. Familiarity with portfolio management platforms is a plus.
