Summary Of Duties
Provide a full range of administrative services to the Environmental Services Management Team under the direction of the Environmental Services Manager. This position requires working independently with a positive and professional demeanour and communicating with internal and external customers / companies in a manner that promotes positive and respectful relations. The successful incumbent will be responsible for maintaining and coordinating office operations and procedures in order to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Excellent customer service and call centre skills are an essential requirement of this role.
Qualifications/Skills
OSSD + 1 year of Community College. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook). Positive approach to problem solving and ability to take direction. Ability to work and cope within a changing, fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Typing 40 w.p.m. with maximum 5% error rate. Sound knowledge of payroll and scheduling requirements with proficiency in the use of both the hospital’s ESP scheduling software and the electronic time sheets. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on ensuring friendly and professional communications with clients. Exemplary verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated excellent critical thinking skills and strong, proactive problem solving skills. Demonstrated high standards of accuracy, efficiency and organizational/prioritizing abilities. Demonstrated ability to take appropriate initiative in resolving issues and improving the work environment. Proficient ability to multi-task throughout the work day. Strong minute-taking skills for meetings
