About the role

Job Description

The University of Toronto invites applications for a tenure-stream position in Digital Curation and Cultural Heritage at the rank of Associate Professor, in the Faculty of Information. The appointment will begin on July 1, 2024, or shortly thereafter.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in the area of digital curation and cultural heritage.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in digital curation and cultural heritage.
  • Supervise graduate students and contribute to the academic community.

Required Qualifications

  • A PhD in a relevant field.
  • A strong record of research and publication in digital curation and cultural heritage.
  • Experience in teaching at the university level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with digital tools and technologies in cultural heritage.
  • A demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in teaching and research.

Other Relevant Details

  • The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the academic life of the Faculty and the University, including participation in committees and outreach activities.
