This role leads a team of engineers and supports plant-level initiatives that align with the business category’s priorities, ensuring safety, quality, cost control, and timely delivery. The Manager partners with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and other stakeholders to drive value and operational readiness.

- Salary range 007: 116 700$ to 145 900$ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)
What’s Involved In This Role
- Lead the execution of capital projects across assigned facilities, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and in-scope delivery.
- Manage a team of project engineers, providing direction, coaching, and technical support.
- Responsible for employee relations including work direction of employees, hiring, training, performance reviews, administering policies and procedures, disciplinary action, and compensation recommendations.
- Direct implementation of departmental objectives, goals and policies.
- Coordinate with site leadership and cross-functional teams to align project scope with operational goals.
- Ensure project documentation, risk management, and reporting are maintained according to governance standards.
- Lead and support engineering design reviews, construction oversight, commissioning, and start-up activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, equipment upgrades, and energy savings in collaboration with site teams.
- Escalate risks, delays, and resource gaps proactively to the Director.
- Contribute to site master planning and future capital roadmaps.
- Participate in monthly portfolio reviews and report project status to the Director.
- Ensure all work complies with safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the day-to-day engineering lead for assigned plants within the category.
- Develop talent and technical competencies within the engineering team.
What You Need To Join Our Team
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required / PEO licence
- PMP and MBA certification or equivalent (preferred)
- Possibility to travel - other Agropur facilities (50%)
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in capital project execution in dairy, food, beverage, or manufacturing environments required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading cross-functional project teams and managing project engineers required.
- PMP and MBA certification or equivalent (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of project management, construction, and plant engineering practices required.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different sites required.
- Working knowledge of utilities, automation, and packaging systems required.
