Job Description:

Are you ready to come work for one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, then KBL Projects is seeking experienced, safety-minded Sulphur Remelt Operators. The ideal candidate will be experienced in heavy equipment operation. Sulphur Remelt Operators are responsible for the safe and effective operation of wheel loaders and conveyor systems, and sulphur remelt pit pumps, piping, and filtration systems.

Location:

Job location is the Shantz Sulphur Forming Facility near Cremona AB. Local personnel preferred however, accommodations can be provided if the successful candidates are not local to the Mountainview / Rockview counties area.

  • Reports to: General Superintendent

  • Department: Projects

  • Work Location: Cremona**, Alberta**

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting daily equipment checks and pre-use inspections

  • Performing general cleaning duties throughout the day

  • Operate loader and conveyor systems

  • Operate sulphur remelt pit pumps and piping systems

  • Filter changes and maintenance

  • Molten sulphur truck loading

Qualifications/Competencies:

The individual in this role will have:

  • A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or equivalent

  • A valid and acceptable Driver’s license and successful completion of Pre-employment testing

  • Heavy equipment (loader) operation experience

  • Valid and current safety tickets including H2S Alive, First Aid Level One C, WHIMS and TDG

  • A strong attention to detail, communication skills and a profound ability to work long hours in a mentally and physically demanding work environment

  • Proven ability to work well under a limited amount of supervision
