Responsibilities:
- Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installations and testing of new tower and existing Hospital plumbing systems and plumbing fixtures.
- Performs preventative maintenance on plumbing system.
- Modifies piping systems as required.
- Strict adherence to all applicable codes, standards, regulations and procedures as they apply to Healthcare Facilities.
- Completes work orders in a timely manner with accurate documentation of work performed in a computerized maintenance system.
- Performs all duties in safe and effective manner.
- Carries out duties as a member of the hospital fire team.
- Provides verbal or written reports as required.
- Completes other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid Certificate of Qualification (Ontario License) Plumber. Additional Certificate of Qualification in a related field is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a licensed Plumber in a Facilities maintenance role is required. Hospital experience is preferred.
- Additional mechanical experience would be an asset.
- Knowledge of all applicable codes, standards, guidelines and procedures.
- Available for overtime including call backs, as required.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal required.
- Demonstrated reliable attendance and punctuality.
