Position Summary
The Operations Director, Québec is responsible for leading and scaling Dahrouge’s operations within Québec and supporting broader Eastern Canada growth initiatives. This role carries enterprise-level accountability for technical excellence, operational performance, financial contribution, and team development within the jurisdiction and the company.
The Operations Director ensures that all projects are delivered safely, profitably, and in full compliance with Québec regulatory requirements while aligning regional operations with Dahrouge’s corporate strategy and growth objectives. It combines operational leadership, revenue generation, financial oversight, and strategic business development. Success in this position is directly measured by revenue growth, profitability, team performance, client retention, and expansion of Dahrouge’s technical presence in Québec.
Key Accountabilities
Enterprise Leadership & Regional Accountability:

Drive overall operational, financial, and cultural performance of the Québec business unit.

Build and scale a high-performing regional team capable of supporting exploration, resource development, and technical consulting services.

Align Québec operations with corporate strategy, ensuring regional performance contributes meaningfully to national and international objectives.

Establish regional governance structures, reporting cadence, and performance tracking systems.
Strategic Leadership & Market Development
·
Develop and execute a Québec-specific growth strategy aligned with corporate objectives.

Identify priority commodities, client segments, and geographic markets within Québec and adjacent jurisdictions.

Represent Dahrouge in Québec at industry events (e.g., Xplor, CIM, Québec Mining Association), international events, regulatory forums, and key client meetings.

Champion Dahrouge’s brand and strengthen technical credibility in Québec’s mining and exploration sector.
Revenue Generation & Financial Performance
·
Drive new business acquisition and expand existing client relationships into multi-phase engagements.
·
Lead or support major proposals and contract negotiations.
·
Develop and maintain a strong project pipeline to support sustainable revenue growth.
·
Oversee financial performance of all Québec projects, ensuring strong margins and effective cost control.
Project Execution & Operational Oversight
·
Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of exploration and development projects across Québec.
·
Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
·
Monitor budgets, forecasting, invoicing, and profitability.
·
Ensure timely review and approval of technical deliverables including reports, assessments, and regulatory submissions.
·
Implement operational efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Technical Governance & Regulatory Compliance
·
Ensure compliance with Québec-specific regulatory requirements, including reporting standards and environmental regulations.
·
Maintain good standing with the Ordre des géologues du Québec (OGQ) and ensure professional compliance across the regional team.
·
Oversee QA/QC processes and technical review protocols.
·
Ensure regulatory submissions and client deliverables meet provincial and national reporting standards (NI 43-101 where applicable).
People Leadership & Organizational Development
Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing geological and technical staff within Québec.

Build leadership capacity within the regional team through mentorship and structured development.

Implement performance management systems aligned with corporate KPIs.

Position Requirements
·
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Geology, Earth Sciences, Engineering or a related field.
·
15+ years of experience in the mining and mineral exploration industry.
·
Demonstrated success managing operations, financial performance, and multidisciplinary teams within a consulting environment.
·
Proven business development and client relationship management experience.
·
Experience working within Québec regulatory and mining environments preferred.
·
Professional Geologist (P. Geo) with OGQ or eligible for registration.
·
Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or operations management (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) are advantageous.
·
Strong understanding of Québec mining and exploration market dynamics.
·
Financial literacy with demonstrated experience managing P&L responsibilities.

Strong bilingual communication skills (French and English preferred).
