TEMPORARY TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT TEACHER FOR SUMMER SCHOOL
Summer
school relies on dynamic staff who are committed to creating an engaging
environment that helps students to develop and apply their skills in an
exciting way.
Dates:
Commencing June 29, 2026 and ending July 29, 2026, during workday hours.
Location:
Bluewater Education Centre, Chesley
Supervisor: Summer School Coordinator
Remuneration: $49.92 (inclusive of vacation and
statutory pay, to a maximum of 55 hours, paid by timesheet).
Position
Summary:
The summer school program is committed
to providing quality education for every student in a safe and caring learning
environment. As a summer school technology support teacher, you will provide support, including education and Brightspace-D2L technical
support, for students enrolled in summer school courses, and who are working
towards achieving their Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Grade 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 courses
will be offered virtually through the Ontario eLearning Consortium and may
include students from across the district and province.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide guidance and technical support to
teachers working in a virtual environment

Manage student enrolment and registration
processes in Prism, including adding and dropping BWDSB and out-of-board
students
-
Collaborate with teachers, school
administrators, and partners, including Ontario eLearning Consortium
-
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
and Experience:
-
A teacher in good standing with the Ontario
College of Teachers
Assets:
-
Commitment to the K-12 learning continuum
-
Experience with Aspen, Prism and Excel
-
Experience using
Office 365 and an expertise of Brightspace
-
Excellent
leadership, communication and organizational skills
Job
Requirements:

Clean
vulnerable sector police check.
