Are you a talented Physiotherapist looking to make a significant impact within regional communities? Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and passionate Physiotherapist who is ready for a new adventure. As the Physiotherapist, you will be able to provide, plan and deliver comprehensive, high quality patient care to our regional Griffith community members in our brand new, state-of-the-art, Griffith Base Hospital Emergency Short Stay Unit.

About The Role

  • As the Physiotherapist you will play a vital role in the multidisciplinary team with duties including but not limited to:
  • Delivering evidence-based physiotherapy across diverse clinical settings including outreach and telehealth, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes and support safe discharge
  • Delivering patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, clinical documentation, and supervision of Allied Health Assistants, students, and junior staff
  • Role may require weekend work and travel across the district, with support provided by a line manager and clinical supervisor

Our Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate

  • Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy, current AHPRA registration, valid Class C Drivers Licence, and ability to meet all screening requirements (Vaccination Category A, Working with Children Check, National Criminal Record Check)
  • Proven ability to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based physiotherapy across diverse clinical settings including outreach and telehealth
  • Strong assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning skills with the ability to manage a caseload independently within scope of practice
  • Experience working effectively within a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes and facilitate safe, timely discharge
  • Excellent documentation, organisational, and time management skills with commitment to meeting professional, legal, and ethical standards
  • Demonstrated cultural competence, including a commitment to improving Aboriginal health outcomes, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patients, families, and colleagues
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development, clinical supervision, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement activities
