Legal Counsel – True North Sports + Entertainment
About the role
We’re looking for a Legal Counsel who will play a key role in supporting all aspects of True North’s operations. In this role, you’ll draft and review a wide range of commercial agreements, prepare contest rules and waivers, support trademark and league-related matters, and provide guidance on labour and employment issues. You’ll partner closely with teams across Sales & Services, Marketing, Event Management, People & Culture, and Hockey Operations to deliver practical, timely legal advice.
You will also help manage corporate filings, legal correspondence, and document systems, support litigation tracking, and contribute to privacy compliance under PIPEDA, GDPR, and CASL. This role further provides legal assistance to the True North Youth Foundation and keeps internal partners informed on emerging legal trends.
