Au sein des équipes Technologie d’Expedia, notre organisation Contenu permet à Expedia Group d’acquérir, d’enrichir et de distribuer des centaines de millions de ressources (images, textes, attributs, vidéos, etc.) utilisées par nos différentes marques et nos différents secteurs d’activité. Nous sommes également responsables du contenu lié aux destinations qui est essentiel aux voyageurs en matière d’information, d’inspiration et de confiance. Notre équipe se consacre à fournir des solutions logicielles hautement évolutives dans un environnement de développement agile, à l’aide de technologies de pointe. Notre travail consiste principalement à développer des applications dorsales. Nous adhérons à une approche selon laquelle nos développeurs participent à chaque étape du développement logiciel, soit de la conception aux tests, en passant par l’intégration, le déploiement, la surveillance et le soutien.

Dans ce rôle, vous aurez les responsabilités suivantes :

  • Collaborer avec l’entreprise pour bien comprendre comment votre propre pile technologique est liée aux résultats opérationnels
  • Étudier et recommander des cadres de travail et des modèles de conception relatifs à l’architecture et au code
  • Tester et assurer la maintenance des applications logicielles et des programmes et procédures connexes à l’aide de divers outils de développement logiciel, conformément aux exigences du client et à la conception convenue Repérer les points à améliorer dans le code et proposer des solutions Assurer que la documentation relative à la fonctionnalité ou au projet est complète
  • Promouvoir l’excellence opérationnelle (telle que les tests unitaires, l’établissement de contrat de niveau de service et la programmation pour la résilience et l’évolutivité) et viser une efficacité organisationnelle optimale en appliquant une approche systémique au-delà des frontières Formuler des recommandations concernant l’amélioration des politiques/processus
  • Fournir des conseils techniques et un encadrement à vos pairs et aux développeurs moins expérimentés, en les aidant à surmonter les obstacles et à saisir les occasions de croissance

Compétences Minimales Requises

  • Vous êtes titulaire d’au moins un baccalauréat dans un domaine technique ou possédez une expérience professionnelle équivalente, avec au moins 5 ans d’expérience professionnelle pertinente.
  • Vous avez la capacité de détecter les problèmes commerciaux au niveau du projet et de préconiser des solutions pour les résoudre.
  • Vous avez conçu et réalisé des projets sur au moins 4 produits différents qui sont facilement testables et observables, et vous êtes en mesure de guider d’autres personnes dans cette démarche.
  • Vous avez de solides connaissances en matière de technologies (SpringBoot, interfaces API gRPC/REST/graphQL, AWS en nuage de préférence), de bases de données (NoSQL, moteurs de bases de données relationnelles, Redis/Valkey/MemcacheD de préférence) et de langages (Kotlin, Java de préférence).
  • Vous vous êtes imposé(e) comme spécialiste en la matière pour certains produits liés à votre travail au cours de votre carrière.
  • Vous excellez dans la mise en place d’indicateurs d’excellence opérationnelle au niveau des projets et dans le maintien de normes de qualité élevées dans les projets grâce à des tests, à la surveillance et à des alertes.
  • Le bilinguisme en français et en anglais est un atout.

Within Expedia Technology, our Content organization enables Expedia Group to acquire, enrich and distribute hundreds of millions of assets (images, texts, attributes, videos, etc.) used across our various brands and lines of businesses. We’re also responsible for Destination content, essential to the traveler’s journey as it informs, inspires, and builds trust. Rich, accurate, and engaging content helps travelers discover new places, set realistic expectations, and make confident booking decisions. Our team is dedicated to delivering highly scalable software solutions in an agile development environment, using state-of-the-art technologies. We work in a DevOps model where developers are involved in all aspects of software development from design to test, implementation, deployment, monitoring and support.

In This Role, You Will

  • Partner with the business to have a clear understanding of how your own technology stack is tied to business outcomes
  • Research and recommend frameworks and architectural/code design patterns
  • Test and maintain software applications and related programs and procedures by using a variety of software development tools, following the requirements of the customer and the agreed-upon design. Identify areas of improvement within the code and suggest solutions. Ensure documentation for the feature or project is complete
  • Advocate for operational excellence (such as unit testing, establishing SLAs, and programming for resiliency and scalability) and strive for optimum organizational efficiency by applying systems thinking across boundaries. Make recommendations about policies/processes improvements
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to peers and more junior engineers, helping them overcome obstacles and have growth opportunities

Minimum Qualifications

  • You have at least a bachelor's degree in a technical field; or equivalent related professional experience, with at least 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • You have the ability to identify business problems at the project level, and advocate for solutions to solve them
  • You’ve designed and delivered projects on at least 4 different products that are easily testable and observable, and you’re able to guide others in doing so
  • You are strong in multiple technologies (SpringBoot, gRPC/REST/graphQL APIs, AWS cloud preferred), datastores (NoSQL, Relation DB engines, Redis/Valkey/MemcacheD preferred) and languages (Kotlin, Java preferred).
  • You’ve established yourself as a subject matter expert in a few work-related products in your career
  • You excel at establishing operational excellence metrics at the project level, and at maintaining high standards for quality in projects via testing, monitoring, and alerting
  • Bilingual in French and English preferred

Please note that this role is only available in the following locations: Montreal, in alignment with our flexible work model which requires employees to be in-office at least three days a week. We are unable to offer relocation assistance for this role.

The total cash range for this position in Montreal is $108,500.00 to $152,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $173,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
