Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Counsellor to support students’ emotional, social, and academic development. The ideal candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to foster a positive learning environment. This role requires strong communication skills, empathy, and experience working with children in educational settings. The School Counsellor will play a vital role in promoting student well-being and helping students navigate personal challenges.

Duties Provide individual and group counselling sessions to students to address emotional, behavioral, and social issues Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop strategies that support student success and well-being Assist students with developing coping skills, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities Support students with special education needs by coordinating appropriate interventions and accommodations Conduct assessments to identify student needs and recommend appropriate resources or referrals Organize workshops or programs focused on mental health awareness, social skills, and resilience building Maintain confidential records of counselling sessions and student progress Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student concerns and progress as needed Experience Prior classroom experience or teaching background is highly desirable Proven experience working with children in educational or counselling settings Familiarity with special education practices is a plus Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, teachers, and administrators Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy Experience in developing individualized support plans or behavioral interventions is advantageous This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives by fostering their emotional health and academic success.
