Bilingual French & English Customer Service Agent
Introduction
Our client is seeking a motivated and resilient Bilingual French & English Collections Agent to join their growing financial services team in Barrie, Ontario. This is an existing vacancy with immediate availability within a fast-paced and expanding lending environment focused on customer service excellence and professional growth.

Compensation: $40,000 to $58,000 annually, including base salary and average commission earnings.
Work Location: In-office, Barrie, Ontario
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Flexible availability required between Monday and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
What You’ll Do
As a Bilingual Collections Agent, you will work directly with both French-speaking and English-speaking customers to resolve overdue accounts, negotiate repayment arrangements, and support positive customer outcomes while meeting collection goals. You will become part of a supportive, energetic team environment where high performers are recognized and rewarded. This role offers valuable experience within the lending and financial services industry and provides opportunities to grow your collections expertise over time.
Responsibilities
Contact customers regarding overdue and delinquent accounts Negotiate payment arrangements within approved guidelines Create customized repayment solutions based on customer circumstances Manage accounts across multiple stages of delinquency Handle high-volume inbound and outbound collection calls in a KPI-driven environment Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment commitments Educate customers on account status and available payment options Follow company policies and regulatory standards for collections activity Assess account risk and escalate files when appropriate Meet individual and team recovery targets Deliver professional customer service while balancing collection objectives Support additional collections-related duties as required
Qualifications
Fully bilingual in French and English, both written and verbal Previous collections experience within telecom, banking, lending, financial services, or consumer collections environments Comfortable working in a high-volume call centre setting Strong communication and negotiation skills Resilient and confident handling difficult conversations professionally Motivated by performance goals and commission incentives Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Able to adapt to rotating schedules and changing priorities Comfortable working onsite in Barrie, Ontario Full schedule flexibility required, including occasional Saturdays
