As a Senior Mining Engineer in Vancouver, you will play a key role in designing and optimizing mining operations to ensure maximum efficiency and safety. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes in the energy and natural resources sector.

Description
Develop and maintain Life-of-Mine (LOM) plans, pit designs, production schedules, mine phases, pushback strategies, and sequencing plans. Evaluate mine planning scenarios and optimize mining strategies to maximize project value, operational efficiency, and resource utilization. Prepare and maintain planning assumptions related to fleet productivity, haulage performance, operating costs, equipment utilization, and material movement. Analyze haulage networks, cycle times, fleet requirements, and mining rates to support technical studies and execution planning. Collaborate with operations and technical teams to ensure long-term mine plans can be successfully translated into practical production plans. Support technical studies, reserve estimations, economic evaluations, and project development milestones by preparing mine planning deliverables and technical documentation. Contribute to forecasting, reconciliation, performance analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance mine planning accuracy and operational performance.
Profile
Degree in Mining Engineering. Minimum of 8 years of experience in open-pit mining, including significant exposure to mine planning and scheduling activities. Strong background in mine design, pit optimization, phase development, Life-of-Mine planning, and production forecasting. Practical operational experience within hard rock mining environments, ideally on large-scale open-pit operations. Proficiency with leading mining software such as Deswik, Vulcan, MineSight, Whittle, NPV Scheduler, or comparable platforms. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable business decisions.
Job Offer
