Job Description:
The IT Change Management Specialist is a member of the Workday Support Team, which is dedicated to configuring and maintaining Workday, the College’s cloud-based software system for Human Resources, Payroll and Finance.
The incumbent is responsible for the efficient management of the system change enablement practice. In addition to managing the change requests received from the business owners and other Workday users to support their operational requirements, the incumbent is responsible for the planning and implementation of features that become available through the bi-annual Workday releases (spring and fall).
The incumbent manages expectations and stakeholder interests that span several areas of the College, ensures that best practices are undertaken to mitigate risks and evaluates whether changes made to the Workday system create value for the College.
The incumbent also identifies and supports process improvement and optimization opportunities by contributing to the development of standard business processes, communication and training materials. The incumbent is responsible for providing professional leadership and coaching and contributing to the professional development of Workday Support Team members concerning business analysis and technical skills.
The incumbent provides support the Manager, Workday Support in administering the operating budget and acts as back up to the Manager, overseeing day-to-day administration of the team in the Manager’s absence.
Required Qualifications:

Minimum four (4) year degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Business Administration;
-
A qualification or certification which covers the field of Change Enablement/ Change Management, such as Project Management, Business Analysis, Scrum Master, ITIL 4, ITIL 3 or PROSCI;
-
Workday PRO certification in one or more areas is an asset;
-
A minimum of nine (9) years’ related experience in enterprise resource planning systems/software applications, business analysis, IT service management, change enablement or project management;
-
A minimum of three (3) years experience with Workday, with a strong understanding of the interdependencies within the system and knowledge of the release cycles, is an asset;
-
Experience leading in a client-focused, team environment;
-
Experience managing budgets and familiarity with procurement processes is an asset
-
Experience in evaluating client needs, time estimates, setting tasks, determining priorities and tracking progress toward completion;
-
Experience in research and analysis to support a best practice approach to future state business processes;
-
Experience executing various change activities, including identifying risks associated with deployment and mitigating them, supporting the creation of training and resource materials, creating communication plans and communications;
-
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to all levels of the organization;

Proven stakeholder management skills;

Experience with process improvement including tools and approaches (e.g. Agile methodologies, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.);

Critical thinking, problem resolution and analytical skills;

Excellent time-management skills;

Extraordinary attention to detail;

Ability to work well in structured and unstructured environments, under pressure, and with changing and competing priorities and timelines;

Experience using case management systems (e.g. Salesforce, ServiceNow) and issue tracking tools (e.g. JIRA);

Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of confidentiality due to the incumbent’s access to confidential employee information.
