Akelius is seeking an adaptable and highly organized Human Resources Coordinator to join the Human Resources team.
The HR Coordinator supports the Human Resources team by contributing to a variety of key HR functions across Quebec and Ontario.
These functions include day-to-day HR operations, recruitment, benefits, reporting, and administrative duties.
The successful candidate is highly motivated, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, with potential to grow into recruitment and process optimization projects in the future.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager,
the Coordinator supports the team by contributing to a variety of key HR functions.
Recruitment support:
- assist in posting open positions on job sites
- review and schedule initial phone interviews
- assist in scheduling interviews
- conduct candidate background checks
HR administration:

manage employee records and ensure accuracy and compliance with Quebec and Ontario employment laws

prepare and process documentation related to onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle events

update internal documents, spreadsheets, templates, training materials where needed

draft letters of employment, any company communications as needed

support payroll preparation by providing relevant information

coordinate benefits enrollment, updates, and employee communication
Employee Relations:
- act as a point of contact for first level employee inquiries related to benefits administration, HR policies, and procedures
Support HR Operations:
- assist in organizing training and development programs
- maintain employee records and HRIS
- support HRIS process improvements
- work closely with HR colleagues to streamline processes and support key projects
who you are

2-3 years of HR experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
-
bilingual, ability to speak and write in both English and French
-
familiarity with Quebec and Ontario employment legislation
-
proficiency in MS Office Suites, ATS, and HRIS platforms
-
strong administration, time management, organizational, and multitasking skills with a passion for process optimization
-
ability to handle data with confidentiality
-
ability to anticipate potential issues and work to resolve them
-
strong ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
-
ability to adapt to an evolving environment and handle multiple high-volume priorites
-
friendly, approachable attitude with a strong desire to help others

detail-oriented and passionate about continuous improvement

preferred
- CRHA, CRIA, or CHRP designation is considered as an asset
