The Opportunity: The Cyber Security Analyst plays a key role in protecting patient, partner, and corporate data within the organization’s specialty Pharmacy and Patient Support Program (PSP) operations.
This position supports the company’s information security management framework, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive health and patient information.
A Day in the Life (What you will do here):

Information Security Governance & Compliance

Coordinate activities required to achieve and maintain ISO 27001 certification, including risk assessments, control documentation, evidence management, and audit preparation.

Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare privacy and data protection regulations
-
Maintain and update security policies, standards, and procedures to reflect evolving regulatory and business requirements.

Assist in managing third-party security due-diligence reviews for technology vendors, patient-data processors, and PSP partners.

Cyber Risk & Assessment
-
Lead or facilitate annual cyber security risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities across clinical, pharmacy, and patient-support systems.

Work collaboratively with IT, data, and operations teams to ensure remediation actions are tracked and verified.

Support regular internal audits and readiness reviews for both ISO 27001 and privacy compliance.

Threat & Vulnerability Management
-
Coordinate regular penetration testing and vulnerability scans with internal and external partners, ensuring findings are triaged, remediated, and verified.

Manage relationships with external cyber security partners
-
Monitor security alerts, threat intelligence feeds, and reports relevant to healthcare and pharmacy systems.

Maintain and report on key cyber-risk metrics, vulnerabilities, and remediation progress.

Cyber incident response co-ordination

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
-
Act as the key liaison with external cyber and compliance partners, including penetration testers, auditors, and certification bodies.

Work cross-functionally with IT, Compliance, Data Protection, and Operations to embed security controls into patient support workflows and technology platforms.

Communicate security risks, incidents, and recommendations in business-friendly terms to leadership and program managers.

Promote a culture of security awareness, particularly around the protection of patient data and digital patient-support tools.

Additional duties as assigned by the manager.
What you need to ensure you are set up for success:
- Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Experience implementing and managing data Loss Prevention (DLP) for SharePoint\OneDrive
- 3+ years of Canadian work experience in information security, risk management, or compliance ideally within healthcare, pharmacy, or patient support programs.
- Experience facilitating penetration testing, audits, and vulnerability assessments.
- Strong vendor-management and communication skills.
- Relevant industry certifications
- Experience working in environments that handle PHI/PII, patient engagement platforms, or healthcare CRM systems.
- Understanding of healthcare privacy frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- High integrity, discretion, and accountability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Collaborative and approachable, with the ability to engage both technical and clinical teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
