Temporary Buyer – Supply Chain Our client is seeking a dedicated Temporary Buyer (Contract Role) to join the Supply Chain team supporting aircraft maintenance operations. This position operates in a dynamic store and warehouse environment within a repair depot facility, working closely with business units and stakeholders to ensure seamless procurement and inventory management. Reporting to the General Manager, Supply Chain & Inventory, the ideal candidate will demonstrate resilience, collaboration, and customer focus to contribute to the team’s ongoing success.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

• Manage requisition-to-purchase order process in Oracle, ensuring compliance with policies and service level agreements
• Handle requisitions, convert to purchase orders, and coordinate with internal teams and suppliers.
• Source vendors, obtain quotes, and issue purchase orders for heavy-duty equipment and related goods/services.
• Expedite orders, track deliveries, and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with inventory counts and provide administrative or dock support as needed.
• Use daily reports to prioritize orders and maintain product availability.

Your strengths include:

• 3+ years experience in procurement or buying, ideally in a warehouse or heavy-duty equipment environment.
• Proficient in Oracle Procurement and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Customer-focused with experience partnering with clients.
• Ability to obtain and maintain RAIC clearance.
• Degree or certification in Supply Chain/Business Administration (or working toward it).
• Familiarity with shipping/receiving processes, payment terms, taxes, duties, and Incoterms.
• Experience with logistics and warehouse operations is an asset.
