Senior Estimator (Land Piling Projects)

📍 North Vancouver, BC VP Foundations, a Division of Vancouver Pile Driving Ltd., is a new construction company under the Carlson Construction Group. Our specialties include Foundations, Ground Improvement, and Shoring. We bring a legacy of quality and innovation to every project, aiming to deliver exceptional results for both new and existing clients. Our expertise includes Large-Diameter Piles, DTH drilled piles, Screw Piles, Ground Improvement techniques such as Stone Columns, Timber Compaction Piling, and Shoring services like Sheet Piles, Cofferdams, Combi-Walls, and H-Pile Lagging Systems.

About the Role

This is more than just an estimating role — it’s an opportunity to lead, influence, and mentor. As a Senior Estimator, you’ll play a key role in driving successful bids, guiding strategy, and supporting the delivery of complex land piling and heavy civil projects.

What You’ll Do

Lead full-cycle estimating on complex tenders Analyze drawings and specifications to identify risks and opportunities Develop accurate and competitive pricing strategies Coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing Support procurement and pre-construction planning Mentor and guide junior estimators Collaborate closely with project teams and leadership What You Bring 8+ years of estimating experience in piling, marine, or heavy civil construction Strong technical expertise in foundations and ground improvement methods Proven success delivering lump-sum and negotiated bids Proficiency with estimating tools (HeavyBid is an asset) and advanced Excel skills A strategic mindset with strong leadership and communication skills Salary: $120k- $150k Per annum Compensation & Benefits The salary offered will be based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and Carlson Construction Group’s compensation framework.
