Position Title: Rental Attendant (Seasonal)
Department: Recreation
Reports to: Supervisor, Rental & Tech or Designate

Job Summary: Rental Attendants will be the first point of contact for guests using rental equipment. Your role is essential in ensuring guests are fitted with the correct gear and provided with an outstanding, safe, and efficient rental experience. The role is responsible for assessing customer needs, properly adjusting ski and snowboard equipment according to industry safety standards, and creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety protocols as outlined by governing bodies and internal procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain all required certifications and training up to date.
- Ensure guest safety through proper equipment fitting and adjustment procedures.
- Provide high-quality customer service with a positive, helpful attitude.
- Fit guests with rental equipment including:
- Skis, snowboards, bindings, boots, helmets, and poles
- Ask appropriate questions about guest experience level, height, weight, and ability to accurately adjust equipment for safety and comfort.
- Input and verify customer information in the Northsoft system accurately.
- Adhere to operational procedures for equipment setup and guest service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the rental area, including workstations and fitting zones.
- Attend all required pre-season and ongoing training sessions.
- Be punctual and wear the required uniform in accordance with policy.
- Support other departments as needed, based on operational demands.
- Uphold Chicopee’s values and policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
Key Qualifications:
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Able to lift up to 20.4 kg (45 lbs) repeatedly.
- Comfortable with physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
- Able to work in cold or outdoor conditions for extended periods.
- Attention to detail when adjusting equipment and recording data.
- Bilingual is an asset.
- Previous experience in ski/snowboard rental or retail is an asset, but not required.

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional on-call shifts as required.
