About the role
Position: English Generalist
Type: Contract
Compensation: $20 - $100/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities
Evaluate, edit, and enhance AI-generated English content for grammar, syntax, clarity, and style. Conduct in-depth research to ensure the accuracy and reliability of information used for AI training. Apply AP Style, copyediting, and proofreading best practices to a diverse array of texts. Develop and refine writing prompts, tone guidelines, and stylistic parameters for language models. Analyze and annotate text data to improve AI language comprehension and generation capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement areas and ensure linguistic quality.
Requirements
Have advanced proficiency in English, with a keen eye for grammar, syntax, and language structure. Have a minimum of of professional experience in copyediting, proofreading, or linguistics roles. Demonstrate expertise in reading comprehension and adapting to various writing styles and tones. Be proficient in AP Style and other recognized editorial standards. Possess strong research skills, with the ability to synthesize and communicate complex information.
