The Project Engineer will lead the civil and structural aspects of power plant construction projects. This role focuses on site development, foundations, and structural systems, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest engineering standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, working closely with contractors, vendors, and clients to deliver high-quality results on schedule.

This position is based in Houston, Texas and the successful candidate will be required to relocate.

What you will be Doing:

  • Leading civil and structural design and construction activities for power generation projects.

  • Reviewing and approve drawings, site plans, and foundation designs to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Coordinating with EPC contractors, civil vendors, and construction teams throughout all project phases.

  • Overseeing site preparation, piling, foundations, structural steel, and other balance-of-plant civil works.

  • Ensuring adherence to building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.

  • Supporting the procurement of civil and structural materials and equipment.

  • Providing on-site engineering support, resolving technical challenges as they arise.

  • Monitor and report on schedules, budgets, and quality metrics for civil and structural scopes.

  • Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration across disciplines.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

  • 3–7 years of experience in industrial or power generation projects.

  • Strong understanding of structural analysis, concrete and steel design, and geotechnical principles.

  • Experience working with EPC contractors and managing construction interfaces.

  • Familiarity with ACI, AISC, and local building codes.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and project coordination skills.
