About the role

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Associate Brand Manager (ABM) to join our Petcare Marketing team, with a focus on recruiting new consumers into the Greenies and Dentastix portfolio. This role is critical to driving category penetration and accelerating brand growth by building effective marketing programs, pack strategies, and campaigns tailored to shopper needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven marketer who is passionate about pets and consumer behavior, and who thrives at the intersection of data, strategy, and execution. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong analytical thinking, commercial acumen, and a collaborative spirit, eager to build their career in brand management.

What are we looking for?

  • University degree required (preferably in Business/Marketing/Brand Management).
  • 2+ years of experience in brand support and/or marketing roles within the CPG industry.
  • Experience with Nielsen and Numerator is strongly preferred.
  • MBA or postgraduate degree an asset.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Brand & Business Management

  • Support the development and execution of pet-parent recruitment strategies for Greenies and Dentastix from brand perspective in collaboration with customer teams. (Mass, Grocery, E-commerce, Club).
  • Monitor brand health KPIs, including penetration, trial, and frequency, and proactively recommend actions.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, and Supply to ensure cross-functional alignment on brand initiatives.

Marketing Analysis & Insights

  • Leverage consumer, shopper, and market data (e.g., Nielsen, Numerator) to identify opportunities and measure performance.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to inform pack innovation and pricing.
  • Translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations for recruitment campaigns.

Innovation & Activation

  • Assist in developing pack/channel strategies (e.g., higher counts, new formats).
  • Support go-to-market plans for new initiatives, ensuring executional excellence in-market.
  • Collaborate with agencies on campaign development and media execution.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with regional/global marketing teams to ensure alignment with long-term strategies.
  • Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams (Project Management, Commercial, Customer Marketing) to land initiatives.
  • Work closely with agency partners to ensure best-in-class creative and media plans.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical skills; proficiency with marketing tools and syndicated data (Nielsen, Numerator, digital analytics).
  • Proven ability to develop insights and translate them into actionable brand strategies.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
