Role Description The Project Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB, supporting the planning and execution of commercial mechanical projects. This position is responsible for coordinating project schedules, documentation, and communications between internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. The Project Coordinator will assist with preparing and tracking estimates, purchase orders, and change orders, as well as maintaining organized project files and reporting. Daily tasks include monitoring project progress, updating stakeholders, supporting site teams with logistical needs, and helping ensure work aligns with safety, quality, and budget requirements. The role also involves using project management and office software to generate reports, track milestones, and contribute to continuous improvement in project delivery.

Qualifications

Project coordination and basic project management skills, including scheduling, tracking milestones, and managing documentation. Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail in record-keeping, reporting, and file management. Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, site personnel, vendors, and internal teams. Proficiency with office and project software (e.g., Microsoft Office, project management tools) and ability to learn company-specific systems. Understanding of construction or mechanical contracting environments; experience with HVAC or refrigeration projects is an asset. Ability to work on-site, prioritize multiple tasks, and adapt to changing project needs in a fast-paced setting. Commitment to safety, quality standards, and collaborative teamwork. Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering technology, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
