Position Summary

The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Plant Manager. The role is responsible and accountable to create and execute production work plans, having products produced in a safe manner at the specified quality standard(s).

The Production Supervisor’s primary focus is to create and manage production work plans that have our employees produce quality products in a safe manner, utilizing the right resources (people, tools and equipment) to achieve the production and delivery schedule. The role fulfills the requirements of external and internal customers through the management of staff, equipment and resources by modeling the corporate values.

Shift Schedule: 11pm - 7am Sunday - Friday.

Duties And Responsibilities

Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations and Code as well as, the Company Health, Safety and Environment policy and programs. Lead, coach, mentor staff by adhering to and enforcing Plasti-Fab’s systems, policies and procedures and Provide appropriate supervision and direction for the Team to achieve efficiency targets, material utilization, quality and safety, with all variances to be reported Represent Plasti-Fab in a courteous and professional manner, internal and external customers alike Identify and bring forward opportunities for improvement by being curious and encouraging the same of your team Create, implement and execute daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual work plans by deploying the right resources in a safe manner (people, skills, equipment, drawings, tools etc.) Ensure the accurate and complete production data requirements including but not limited to LiveLink, Shipping, Receiving, Quality, Compliance and manual processes, as required meet the customer and/or company requirements Represent the area in meetings as required i.e. Daily production meetings, Operations meetings, Safety Promote and support a work environment where people are treated with respect and dignity Identify, create and execute employee performance development, training, reviews and advancement plans, as required, with the support of the Supervisor and HR Support the Team to accomplish SMART (Simple, Measurable, Attainable and a Time Line) Objectives and Action Plans Achieve planned work by proactively and collaboratively working with internal customers and suppliers, i.e. Scheduling, HR, Maintenance, Production, Supervisors, to mitigate potential risks Achieve a clean and safe work environment by ensuring work areas are clean and organized with everything having its place Ensures compliance of work specifications & sign offs on final quality checks as required by Plasti-Fab and/or the customer, with the Plasti-Fab standard being the minimum standard Accountable and responsible for operational and functional requirements of safety, quality and production.

Working Conditions

Must be physically fit, have full range of motion to perform work, including standing for long periods.

Shift work, overtime and weekend work will be required

Qualifications

The following are the anticipated technical and functional qualifications, with the appropriate combination of experience and education being taken into consideration:

Secondary school diploma or degree with an emphasis on Construction, Logistics or Operations E.T. certification an asset 2 - 4 years of relevant experience with a proven track record of success Strong Computer skills including Windows, Word and Excel Experience in EPS industry would be an asset Standard First Aid and CPR training JHSC Certified Member training Valid Drivers’ License Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to communicate effectively with customer and sub-contractors.
