ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Check and review incoming orders and prepare outgoing orders.
-
Count and examine items in incoming shipments to verify information against invoices, orders, and other internal records.
-
Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to resolve shortage.
-
Ensure all parts are stored in the proper place.
-
Maintain and review the receiving and shipping records.
-
Review outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications, if there are discrepancies document and report to the Parts Manager.

Be familiar with the process of ordering and arranging parts, and setting up delivery as required.

Processing account and retail customer orders
-
Maintain an accurate inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
-
Handling telephone inquiries
-
Look up part numbers and prices in the system.
-
Maintain parts and parts room in a clean and orderly manner.
-
Follow company safety policies and practices, and immediately, report any and all accidents to a Manager/Supervisor.
-
This position will be expected to perform other duties as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Excellent interpersonal and communicational skills.
-
Working knowledge of automotive equipment, parts and accessories.
-
Current knowledge of local sources of supply.
-
Knowledge of techniques for receiving, storing, and issuing parts and supplies.
-
Well organized and detail oriented, with ability to maintain records and prepare reports using a computerized system.
-
Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of the organization.
-
Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information, in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
-
Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
-
Good computer skills (ideally Tekion)

Experience with the daily operation of an automotive dealership’s parts department is an asset
-
Ability to self-direct and complete assignments on time with minimal supervision.
