About the Role Arvo Metals is seeking an experienced Factory Manager to lead the daily operations of our growing non-ferrous scrap metal processing facility in Trenton. This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing production, warehouse operations, equipment management, inventory control, and employee supervision. The successful candidate will be a key member of our team, ensuring safe, efficient, and productive plant operations while supporting the company’s continued expansion across the Canadian and international metals recycling market. We are looking for an experienced manufacturing or plant management professional who enjoys building teams, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining high safety standards. Previous experience in the scrap metal or recycling industry is highly valued but not required for candidates with strong factory management experience.
Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the manufacturing and warehouse facility. Plan and coordinate production schedules to ensure operational efficiency. Supervise production employees, warehouse staff, and forklift operators. Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate plant personnel. Promote and enforce workplace health and safety standards. Coordinate shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling activities. Oversee the operation and maintenance of forklifts, balers, and other industrial equipment. Monitor production performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Work closely with company management to support business growth and operational objectives. Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable workplace regulations.
What we're Looking for Minimum 5 years of experience managing a manufacturing plant, factory, or industrial facility. Demonstrated leadership experience managing production teams. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with warehouse operations, inventory management, and production planning. Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications Valid Canadian Forklift Operator Certification. Experience in the scrap metal recycling, manufacturing, or industrial processing industry. Professional working proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is required to communicate with company management and overseas business partners.
