Key Responsibilities

  • Editing and quality assurance: Perform linguistic revision of documents and communications produced by the company, intended for both external and internal audiences.

  • Ensure clarity and consistency of texts so that they are error-free and aligned with the company’s standards.

  • Work closely with internal clients from technical and corporate services, as well as the translation team, to ensure technical accuracy and readability of documents intended for specialized or general audiences.

  • Carefully review technical documents to identify and correct spelling, grammar, syntax, and terminology errors.

  • Verify the consistency and clarity of content, ensuring that information is presented in a logical and accessible way.

  • Collaborate with authors to clarify certain sections or suggest editorial improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with graphic standards, formatting guidelines, and organizational requirements.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical writing and editing processes by using internally developed automation tools.

  • Position yourself as a contributor who positively supports the delivery of high-quality projects.

  • Profile Sought

  • Vocational diploma (DEP) in secretarial studies, office administration, or an equivalent field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a linguistic editing role; experience in the engineering or construction sector is considered an asset.

  • Strong command of French, both written and spoken.

  • Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, knowledge of technical terminology, and ability to work collaboratively while meeting deadlines.

  • Initiative and agility to contribute to the efficiency and success of the team.

  • Strong adaptability and flexibility to manage changing priorities and tasks.

Key Technical Skills

  • Windows environment and document processing tools: Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including track changes, comments, version control, and formatting styles.
  • PDF document management: Ability to annotate, comment on, and compare PDF files using tools such as Adobe Acrobat or similar open-source solutions.
  • Collaborative platforms: Experience working with shared environments such as SharePoint and Teams to collaborate remotely with teams.
  • Terminology management tools: Ability to use terminology databases or specialized glossaries to verify the proper use of technical terms.
  • Language proofreading tools: Use of applications such as Antidote to quickly identify errors and inconsistencies.
