Company Description Planet Watch is a not-for-profit organization based in Ontario, Canada, dedicated to raising awareness about climate change. The Planet Watch Online Library, launched in 2025, provides free access to articles on climate, clean energy, biodiversity, and other global environmental topics. This resource is freely available to non-profits, educational institutions, and libraries to help individuals understand and address the urgent issues facing our planet. With a focus on education and inspiring action, Planet Watch strives to empower communities to make a difference in combating climate change. Role Description This is a volunteer remote position for a Recruiter at Planet Watch. The Recruiter will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and engaging potential volunteers to join the organization. Tasks include developing and executing recruitment strategies, posting volunteer opportunities, managing candidate pipelines, conducting interviews, and fostering strong relationships with potential team members and partners. The Recruiter will play a key role in building a passionate and dedicated volunteer team aligned with Planet Watch’s mission. Qualifications Proficiency in sourcing and recruitment strategies, including candidate outreach and engagement Experience in conducting interviews and evaluating candidates for fit within a volunteer organization Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills Knowledge of and passion for climate issues and not-for-profit organizations Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage candidate pipelines efficiently Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment Familiarity with applicant tracking systems or recruitment tools is a plus Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is a bonus Previous experience in volunteer recruitment is recommended but not mandatory
