Who we need

Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Partnerships, we are hiring an Account Director, FI Acquisition to lead the growth and performance of key Scene+ financial institution partners across the card acquisition funnel. You will oversee end-to-end account planning, growth strategy, and performance management within a complex multi-partner, multi-issuer ecosystem. As the new Account Director, you will use data-driven insights, you will shape annual and quarterly account plans, identify high-impact growth opportunities, and build business cases informed by market and competitive intelligence to guide You will also lead and coach two direct reports in developing and executing integrated marketing and go-to-market strategies that drive measurable acquisition results.

This job posting is for an existing vacancy that is a full-time, hybrid role working three days per week on site in our Toronto office.

*Influence.*This is a high-visibility role collaborating with FI partners on credit card acquisition strategy and execution. You will drive the expansion from a single-bank focus to a multi-bank acquisition strategy, working with FI partners to identify growth opportunities, shaping campaign performance, and delivering measurable results.

As our new Account Director, FI Acquisition, you will focus on:

-**Integrated account strategy leadership.**You will develop and lead annual account plans for key Scene+ financial institution partners, focusing on cardholder acquisition and growth. Using member data, campaign insights, and competitive intelligence, you will guide marketing strategy, investment allocation, and campaign priorities while ensuring initiatives align with KPIs and partner objectives. -**Team and cross-functional leadership.**You will coach and develop direct reports while acting as the partnerships lead across FI acquisition initiatives. Working with external FI stakeholders, Analytics, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Digital teams, you will align stakeholders around shared priorities and ensure partner requirements are reflected in strategy and execution. -**Performance monitoring and insights.**You will oversee partner performance using established KPIs and governance frameworks. You will interpret campaign and member data to identify risks, opportunities, and optimization levers across targeting, offers, messaging, and channels, translating insights into clear direction for future initiatives. -**Relationship management.**You will serve as one of the primary contacts for financial institution partners, building trusted relationships and aligning on priorities, growth opportunities, and performance expectations while maintaining transparent communication of progress and results. -**Governance and operational oversight.**You will lead structured governance including QBRs, strategic planning sessions, and performance reviews. You will ensure disciplined account planning, reporting, and project prioritization to maintain focus on cardholder acquisition outcomes.

You bring:

-**The expertise.**You have progressive experience in marketing, strategic partnerships, or account leadership roles, ideally within loyalty, fintech, or banking ecosystems. You bring experience driving results across the financial institution card acquisition funnel and working with issuer partners in regulated marketing environments. -**The strategic leadership.**You can develop integrated marketing and partnership strategies that drive measurable growth. You have experience shaping strategic briefs, annual account plans, and executive presentations that align cross-functional teams around clear priorities. -**The account management expertise.**You have experience managing complex strategic partnerships. You are comfortable translating performance data into actionable insights that improve campaigns and partner outcomes. -**The team leadership.**You have experience leading and developing high-performing teams, providing clarity, coaching, and accountability while fostering collaboration and trust across internal teams and external partners. -**The project management skills.**You can manage multiple initiatives in fast-moving environments, aligning stakeholders, identifying risks early, and maintaining momentum toward delivery. -**The technical and analytical strengths.**You bring strong analytical and financial acumen and are highly proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and marketing performance dashboards. You use data to inform planning, measure impact, and guide ongoing optimization.

Compensation

At Scene+, we believe that compensation should be transparent, fair, and market competitive. Our salary ranges are designed to represent the progression from learning the role to truly mastering it.

This role has a minimum base salary of $105K and a maximum base salary of $125K. Our approach to compensation supports each person’s unique knowledge, skills, abilities, complexity of the role and balances it with internal equity to support a fair and competitive salary. The higher end of the range is reserved for those who have demonstrated deep expertise, while offers closer to the minimum reflect strong potential with room to develop.
