About the role

The Opportunity:

We have an opening for an experienced and energetic Health Surveillance Technician in our Albian Oil Sands operation. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for conducting and tracking a variety of health surveillance tests, following our Occupational Health & Safety guidelines.   • Job location: Fort McMurray, Alberta - Albian Oil Sands
  • Shift schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off – Monday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts
  • Safety sensitive position: Yes
  • Application deadline : May 18, 2026

Key Accountabilities:

  • Perform testing duties (i.e. Audio testing, Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT), Respiratory Mask Fitting, Vision Screening) for employees, contingent workers and embedded contractors
  • Enter medical results in Canadian Natural’s medical system
  • Complete medical record follow-ups with employee and Medical Director
  • Receive and process external test results
  • Issue medical requisitions
  • Follow Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) guidelines and protocols

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Audiometric Technician certification
  • Spirometry Technician certification
  • Respiratory Mask Fitting experience
  • Experience working in the mining and/or oil & gas industry considered an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
