We are currently looking for a Process Technician to join our team of experts who will provide technical support for electrical and optical testing processes involved in the assembly and manufacture of products made from silicon and III-V wafers. You will work in a clean room on equipment for very high-performance products and will be involved in managing projects to improve and develop new testing processes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment;
  • Support electrical and optical testing processes for silicon and III-V products: wafers, chips, pre-sealing, post-assembly
  • Wafer and chip probers (manual and automatic);
  • Custom test jigs (electronic cards, measurement equipment, optical test benches);
  • Databases (SQL, Access);
  • Custom software programming (Labview, VB.NET);
  • Understanding the underlying processes that can affect the performance of electrical tests (wafer manufacturing, chip processing, product assembly) for any possible problem analysis;
  • Establishing and maintaining automatic process control mechanisms (e.g., SPC);
  • Document processes to ensure their stability (work orders, operating procedures);
  • Document electrical test criteria;
  • Train and support production staff;
  • Work as part of a team to resolve process issues and communicate results through reports;
  • Use and promote MINT to track and report on activities;
  • Participate in the development, qualification, and transfer of processes to production;
  • Participate in the selection, acquisition, and qualification of new equipment;
  • Use and promote the Six Sigma methodology in all your activities;
  • Comply with the company's documentation system, quality policy, and new product introduction process;
  • Report and document process-related issues or equipment failures. Take the necessary corrective and preventive measures;
  • Perform other related tasks as required.

Your Qualifications

  • College diploma (DEC) in physical engineering, microelectronics, or equivalent;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in electronics or photodiode testing;
  • Knowledge of electronics or electrical testing processes;
  • Knowledge of microelectronic device manufacturing processes is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology and statistical process control (Green Belt certification) is an asset;
  • Demonstrate an ability to conduct experiments and analyze and present results;
  • Must demonstrate a high level of responsibility and commitment;
  • Must demonstrate a good balance between initiative and collaboration;
  • Must comply with the established rules of the Processes group;
  • Organizational skills and ability to work in a team;
  • Fluency in French (spoken and written).
