Curling operates a vibrant winter program with more than 450 member games each week. The program offers season long training and learning opportunities for members at all levels, including clinics and structured instruction
The Club hosts five invitational bonspiels annually, attracting strong participation from both members and guests
Mississaugua has served as host for several provincial curling championships in recent seasons, reflecting the strength of the program and the quality of the facility

Position Summary
Head Tennis Professional is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the Club’s seasonal Tennis Program and its operations. This is a seasonal position with an anticipated duration of approximately nine (9) months, aligned with the Club’s active tennis season. Responsibilities include the administration of programs, special events, court bookings and member relationship building, while ensuring staff are engaged and effectively managed. Head Tennis Professional partners with the Tennis Committee to deliver on the department’s goals for the season. This role is instrumental in providing first class, enjoyable programs for juniors and adults, recreational tournament players, social to competitive players and beginners to experienced players.
Key Responsibilities
This coveted role will present the opportunity to:
- Manage the operational and administrative functions of the Club’s Tennis program
- Plan, promote, and run tennis programs for men, ladies, mixed, and junior members, including house and interclub leagues, round robins, social events, tournaments, , new member activities, and instructional programs, with oversight of select pickleball programming
- Build and lead a strong team of tennis professionals and seasonal staff that is committed, productive and strives for excellence
- Manage and merchandise a profitable pro shop that offers quality products and services
- Develop annual operating and capital budgets and monitor financial performance to ensure department is managed within budget
- Ensure court conditioning is commensurate with a Tier One Private Country Club
- Promote a culture that delivers best in class service excellence to a diverse membership
- Foster and build a vibrant tennis membership through high levels of satisfaction, promotion of the program/events, attraction of new members and retention of existing members
- Develop strong member relations by being visible and approachable
- Oversee instructional programs for all ages and levels, including both private lessons and group clinics
- Organize a junior program that attracts both recreational and competitive levels; including tennis camps, instruction, leagues and tournaments
- Plan and run mixers and Club tournaments that promote social and competitive play
- Collaborate with the Sports Director and Tennis Committee, which acts as advisors for the tennis program
- Maintain accurate records of lessons and clinics for billing and payroll purposes
- Prepare regular updates and articles for the Club’s newsletter and website
- Represent the Club within the tennis community, attend industry events /conferences and maintain the necessary contacts to stay current regarding emerging issues of significance to the industry
Professional qualifications
- Tennis Canada Certification – Club Pro 2 / Coach 2
- University degree or college diploma - business administration preferred
- 5 to 7 years of tennis program management experience, with exposure to or oversight of pickleball programming considered an asset
- Experience at a Tennis facility of comparable stature a definite asset
- Member of the Ontario Tennis Association and in good standing
- Strong business acumen and budgeting skills
- Significant experience leading a senior management team, including technical, professional and administrative staff
- Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to inspire, gain support, provide sound direction and build trust
- Ability to recruit, coach, develop, mentor and retain key talent
- Demonstrated member service orientation with a commitment to exceeding expectations
- Impact and influence skills
- Demands respect, with the ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with stakeholders
